Lydia Lunch !?! For the technoids brats who still have milk coming out their midi cables, I'm pulling out the ram of my Atari cable and I'm spelling it out....

Musician, singer, performer, actress, writer, poetess and photographer, Lydia Lunch was the 80's icone of New York underground.

Street, drugs, prostitution, alcohol, shady businesses, a youth like few experience, and few get away with..

At 17 she gets involved with the No Wave mouvement and becomes the guitar player for Teenage Jesus and the Jerks, right away they get the attention of Brian Eno.

She creates the Beirut Slump and multiple collaborations ensue : Nick Cave, Einsturzende Neubauten, Exene Cervenka, Marc Almond, Sonic Youth, Richard Hell, The Birthday Party, James White and the Contorsions, moves on to movies, texts and books, shoots with Richard Kern... Very very high quality people.

Kicking the ass to preconceived ideas and to all of (sensitive souls ?) panicking at the first sign of rebellion!!

She releases in 1979 Queen of Siam, her first solo album, that definitely boots her to the top of the few who influenced a whole american generation.

Lately anchored in Barcelona, Lydia Lunch keeps on producing books, concerts and performances, sharing her examplerary independent spirit (no compromises with the majors) throughout the world.

The Spoken Word of Palais de Tokyo, in Paris, captivated us with its liveliness, its rythme, and Lydia Lunch 's tone addressing us with her raw voice and her urban prose.

Describing her life, experiences, her stories. The captured attention of a long and destroyed nocturnal trip in our pitiless and hyper active cities

Rebel Lydia, story telling Lydia, Lydia annoys, Lydia imagines, sometimes funny, sometimes even doing justice herself, her poetics and palpable stories, equal to a Burroughs or a Lou Reed, constantly offer us a trip in the signification of the word Authentic!
