Born in Athens, in August of 1978, Angelos Bratis raised in his mother atelier where from early age realized his need for creation.
Studied fashion design in Athens and in 2002 won a place at the prestigious Fashion Institute Arnhem of Netherlands. Completed his master course studies by presenting, during Haute Couture week of
Paris, his spring - summer '03 collection in January 2003.
In July of the same year he was invited by AltaRoma AltaModa to present his new collection in Rome.
Maison Gattinoni offers him a designers place and Angelos works and lives for the next two years in the Italian capital. Meanwhile he presents other three personal collections in AltaRoma.
From spring 2005 he works as guest professor at "Accademia di Costume e di Moda" and "Instituto Europeo di Design" of Rome.
In 2005 takes part in "Dutch Touch" Paris & New York campaign, organized by the Dutch Fashion Foundation. He is "dressing" the window of Maria Luisa and the garden of the fashion museum
of Paris with photographer Michel Mallard.
He is currently based in Athens and has a wide range of customers over Greece,Rome and Paris while also creates made to mesure pieces for special occasions and clients.
Bratis emphasizes on detail while keeping forms simple and pure. Studies with passion movement and function, adores the bias cut and the fine natural materials. Starting point for his feminine creations
are classicism and geometry.
