Born in Japan in 1976 , Two Tom has been living in Paris since 1997. He started as a personnal assistant for fashion designer like Bernhard Willhelm, Vava Dudu and Fabrice Lorrain.
His various participations to the Hyeres Festival of Photo and Fashion, or the Festival of Gay Film in Paris, indicate his artistic direction SM : Sex and fashion. The alias that the young japonese artist utilise is an obvious hommage to his master, Tom of Finland.
His universes fluctuate between fashion, gay universe and the perverted teen romanticism that can be called "Lolitos" like "Alice" from Lewis Carrol.
His caracters, often wearing bunny ears, "Bunnies Boys", evolve in mysterious and country type lands, creating strange situations, akin to japonese fantasy.
His hero clone prototye is a 20 years old blond boy who seem to be escaping from a graphic 60s to 80s SM world, with the accompanying paraphernalia : leather, mask, handcuffs and SM accessories.
His universes are linked to many references (history) and very parodic to the x degree, either in a rural or an urban way.
His references and landmarks are also the "physicals pictures" of Bob Mizer's 60's and the golden age of the american studios.
Like as Bruce of Los Angeles, the Warholian icones : Joe Dallessandro or the porn stars at the time that he conjugates in fake magazine covers, in "Calendar Boys", or in "Erotic Zodiac" with a symbolic leading to costume delirium with renaissance or bavarian costumes. Innocents, perverts and romantics, as he defines himself.
His LoLitos are reminescent of Bobby kendall in the cult movie
"Pink Narcissus" from James Bidgood, from homo erotico to teenage sexuality and fantaisy, rejecting the grown up universe to favor the improbable noospheres of dreams.
