Living Art - "Speechless stories"
Robin Rhode was born in Cape Town in 1976. He lives and works in Berlin. He is very simply… fascinating.
He graduated at the Witwatersrand Technikon Fine Arts College in 1998. In 2000, he enrolled the South African school of Film, Television and Drama in Johannesburg. He uses chalk on the floor or drawing charcoal on the walls to draw daily life objects, then projects himself in the scene and starts performing. The place becomes the background of scenes where the artist mimes daily life hopes and despairs with airiness and simplicity. Robin Rhode says: “I consider art as a language to communicate with another world.”
