Blood Red Shoes is the meeting of Laura-Mary Carter (guitare and vocals) and Steven Ansell (drums and vocals) in Brighton (UK), and also the quick rise to success for the duo.

Set on a simple, cracking and efficient rock like an energy bar, their songs have a direct impact ,you will be singing their tune, melody and refrain after 2 minutes, nervous riffs and two strong voices with intense tones. All the neo punk ingredient UK style, raw, ready for the connoisseur.

However make no mistake, even though the duo formula is very trendy Blood Red Shoes has nothing to do with The White Stripe, The Kill or Sonny and Cheer (oops!). You can really tell that the musical work takes over the image or the look.

No hyped up fire effects, smoke machine, V shape guitar or other bright costumes, simply two musiciens looking like rebellious teenagers, a timid and closed up looking Laura-Mary playing her riffs with determination, Steven happily hitting his drums like the natural child of Don Henley and Keith Moon.

A controlled "DGAF"...Common attitude for a reachable but furiously independent rock scene.

Allready two albums under the V2 music label, Box of Secret (2008) and Fire Like This (2010), both very addictive and full of singles, it would be a sin not to indulge.
