The two members of Susanna and the Magical Orchestra create a music filled with calm emotion, similar to slight emotions in the silence announcing great events.

Morten, at the keyboard plays crystalline and delicate arpeggios enshrouded by Susanna’s atonal voice. They succeed to keep us under their spell without the usual pyrotechnical effects. Their tunes are dreams we loved and try to dream again.

Those who appreciate artists like Emiliana Torrini or Virginia Astley (minus the English countryside) will find a sound that will satisfy them.

The duo astounds us by reviving titles that have been around the block so many times. From Leonard Cohen to Scott Walker and Bob Dylan, via Joy Division, the exercise remains sincere and more than convincing.

We are looking forward to the new LP that may be due at the end of 2008. Ultimate luxury, Susanna and the Magical Orchestra invite us to take our time.

To keep still for two seconds, close your eyes, listen and restrain from crying.

It' s magical …
